About the WoT Caves Archive (being updated now)

Introduction

Welcome to the "Wheel of Time Caves", an archive that has been around in various forms since about 2001. This archive has been housed on free webspace in website format, as well as on a free phpbb forum that disappeared in 2011 when all free forums became defunct. It has also been housed on Arie Tarou's domain but now that I, Taya, have my own domain, I'm finally getting organised properly (and, I hope, permanently!).

So, welcome to the Caves! Have fun looking around.

Background

I've been a bit of a DM history buff since at least early-to-mid 2001, when I learned that the Dragonmount RP/OOC forums were to be split between Roleplay and Community. Faced with the prospect of losing all the evidence of my novicehood, I trawled back through the DM boards and saved what I could in the time I had. I wish I had saved more, but alas!

The archiving effort continues today, and I have a lot of people to thank for contributing. I also still rely on old and defunct ez-board storage (a.k.a. Yuku) and proboards sometimes, for finding old stuff.

Format of this Archive

The forums are currently under re-arrangement, so I'll revisit this part when the changes are done.

A note about Content

This Archive contains all sorts of material from things that were actually posted on DM boards, to email and chat exchanges, etc. It also contains WoT fan fiction written by DMers but not for posting on DM.

Finally there are Roleplays from WoT communities besides DM as well.

Some of the threads contained in this Archive are incomplete or are brief excerpts, and these will be denoted by an asterisk * at the end of the subject. Threads that are being archived on an ongoing basis, i.e. long threads spanning years, will not have an asterisk.
